5.1 How we handle data for business outreach
This section explains how we process personal data when we contact business professionals who have not previously engaged with us — for example, sending a relevant introduction by email.
The information we hold. When we identify an organisation that may benefit from our services, we hold limited business contact information about a relevant decision-maker: name, job title, employer, a business email address, and publicly available information about the company. We do not collect special-category data, and we do not target private individuals.
Where we get it. We obtain this information from publicly available sources — principally the Companies House register — and from reputable business-data providers. We did not receive it from you directly, which is why we are providing this notice.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis. We use it to send you occasional, relevant business-to-business information about Salespuzzle's services. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — promoting our business to organisations likely to find our services relevant. We have carried out a balancing assessment and concluded this does not override your rights and freedoms; you can request a copy at any time.
Email tracking. Our outreach emails may contain a small image (a "pixel") that tells us whether an email was opened, and the links may record when they are clicked, so we can understand engagement and improve our communications. You can object to this — contact us and we will send future emails without open-tracking — and you can unsubscribe at any time.
How long we keep it. We keep outreach contact data for up to 18 months, and delete it sooner where we have no continuing reason to retain it. If you opt out, we retain only a minimal record of your email address, solely so we can ensure we do not contact you again.
Your choices. You can unsubscribe with one click in any email, or object to this outreach at any time, and we will stop. To exercise this or any of your other rights (set out above), email info@salespuzzle.co.uk; we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
